See how we take care of our customers' experience with reliability, top quality and more
We recently had Meat & Company cater our daughter's graduation party. Both the food and the customer service were beyond excellent. We ordered brisket, Peruvian chicken, mac and cheese, potato salad, pit beans, and cornbread, all of which were the best I have ever had. Although we didn't order them for the party, my husband absolutely loves their chicken wings and warm turkey sandwich.
The owner, Ben, was incredibly kind and easy to work with. He made the entire process seamless, delivering and setting up the food for us. He provided everything we needed, including to-go boxes for our guests, who were more than happy to take home the delicious food.
I would highly recommend Meat & Company to anyone and everyone!

I wouldn’t change a single thing about this place. I don’t eat red meat but manage to constantly find something delicious. I will tell anyone that will listen about the warm turkey sandwich and the Japanese eggplant sandwich. These are the best sandwiches I have ever had. My husband and 3 young boys love the turkey, brisket, mac n cheese, WINGS. Oh, the wings. Their fried chicken sandwich special had me flying. Their chicken and corn chowder feels like a warm hug. Service is always fast and incredibly friendly. The place is beautiful and spotless. Meat and Company is at the top of my list for fav things in 2024 and will no doubt continue to be at the top of my list for years to come!!

Where to begin… this place is incredible on all fronts. The food is extremely fresh and more delicious than I could begin to describe. Even my toddler who is extremely difficult to feed looks forward to going there for her “meat sammich”. My husband is really into smoking/grilling and marinating/brining meats and honestly it takes a lot to impress him. This might be his favorite restaurant. He goes there almost weekly. I’m not a huge meat eater but even I can’t resist their turkey sandwiches and their wings. Despite being called “Meat & Company” they also have options for vegetarians- eggplant sandwich might even be vegan.
Not only is the food out of this world but they give back to the community when given the opportunity. It’s evident they genuinely love and care about the area and it’s a really beautiful thing.

This restaurant is fantastic! pulled pork sandwich, brisket sandwich, garlic parm wings, and sweet wings, mac and cheese. The wings were juicy and plump. Fresh grated parm cheese on the wings, delicious! The mac and cheese was flavorful and loaded with yummy cheeses. The brisket was tender, cooked perfect and hardy. The pulled pork was juicy with just the right amount of barbecue sauce. The girl at the counter was an absolute charm. She was very personable. I asked if she was an owner and she said no, " but the owners are like family and wonderful people to work for". She said she loved her job! That made our visit even better. Positive energy. Very clean, nice tables and a comfy couch to relax on. The prices are good for the quality of the food. Try this place I promise you'll be a regular! Kudos to the staff and owners 😁

This was our 3rd time at this absolutely gem of a restaurant. Boy, they know their meat!!
My favorites are the brisket and their corned beef. There are several barbecue places in the Capital District but NONE comes close to Meat and Company!!! The owners know the restaurant business well and they have created a top “niche” place where meat is beyond fabulous! Staff members are very happy and upbeat. They are knowledgeable about the cooking process and it truly feels like a real team effort. Meat and Company will be your “go-to” place for take-out or eat
in and is a great place to consider for catering your next meeting or party.
Don’t forget to order a Frozen Hot Chocolate for dessert!!!!!!

Stopped for a late lunch today with my kids! First impressions were awesome! I adore the moody and natural earth tones that greet you as you walk in the door. Everything was clean, staff was smiling and ordering was easy. Our sandwiches were delicious, and the portion size was perfect! Can't wait to come back and try the Mac & cheese!
I'd also like to say a quick thank you to the business owner; for being earth conscience! We brought our sandwiches home in your to-go containers, which I was then able to put right in my compost bin when we were done. Zero waste!! Even our cute canvas take-out bag was made with recycled cotton. Good on you for taking steps to lower your carbon footprint! My family and I will be back for sure.

I have been stalking this place for a while! I stopped in this afternoon and ordered the smoked chicken wings, which were delicious.
The smoke flavor really penetrated the meat, but the best part was that you could tell that the wings themselves were high quality. If you're finicky about chicken, you will understand me when I say they tasted "clean".
I'm a sauce on side person, so I got the KPop on the side and the order also came with ranch and blue cheese. I want to say that the sauces seemed homemade. If they are, excellent touch, and so welcome in a world of subpar sauce. These were so tasty and balanced.
The interior of the restaurant is really well done and spotless.
The staff were nice and professional, especially since I was clueless, being there for the first time.
What a wonderful addition to the neighborhood, and I'm excited to try everything!

Meat & Company is knocking it out of the park in every way. Stopped here for the first time. I got the brisket sandwich which comes with chips. My husband got the two meat platter, he chose pulled pork and turkey with the pit beans and potato salad.
Everything was fantastic. I hate to say the brisket melted in my mouth because that phrase is so overused but it’s true. I tried some of the turkey and I would eat more turkey if it always tasted so good.
I will give a warning about the pit beans. My husband has a much bigger tolerance for spice than I do. He said they were hot. He would have to take a bite of potato salad almost immediately after a bite of the beans.

After a morning of moving items into my storage unit, I was famished. I live close to this spot and wanted to check it out. My order including the Philly cheesesteak and kimchi slaw. The order was ready in 5 minutes and I grabbed it to go. Once home, I devoured the delicious meal! It then dawned on me…I forgot to pay for the food! I went back and explained the situation to one of the employees. He appreciated me coming back and also accepted some responsibility for not confirming the initial payment. The employee declined payment in a “pay it forward” decision. I want to say thanks for the great meal and exceptional customer service! Excited to try more food from them soon!

Had an awesome first experience at Meat & Company for lunch today. Wonderful, professional, friendly staff.
Started with the smoked buffalo wings and mac and cheese. The wings were interesting in that when you eat them their flavors seem to swap back and forth between smoke and spice, very fun. The mac and cheese is creamy and delicious.
Had the pastrami, steak and cheese, and pulled pork grilled cheese. All were great but the pastrami was an absolute standout. The meat was incredibly juicy, tender, and smokey. The mustard was full-grain goodness. Just a totally perfect bite.
Finished up with a frozen hot chocolate. The charred marshmallow on top is a great detail and very good.
A sneaky great part about this place is the seating is super comfortable. They clearly invested in the right things and paid attention to details of the customer experience. I can't wait to return and rip through their whole menu.

Our first time here. Friendly service. Food came out quickly. Between the three of us, we got ribs, pulled pork, brisket, mac and cheese, beans, and their kimchi slaw. There wasn't anything in all of that that wasn't very delicious. I don't like pulled pork, so I can't really assess that, but my wife thought it was pretty good. The brisket is one of the better ones I've had in the area, as are the ribs. Loved the beans. A little sweet, a little heat. That kimchi coleslaw is the best. It has such great flavor. If you like kimchi, you'll like this. We have at least another meal sitting in the fridge.

Do not walk, Run to Meat & Company. I would've taken pictures but the food was so good and I was hungry 🤣. I'm not a wordsmith by any means, but I'll do my best to describe how good this food was.
Let's start with their brisket. 10/10, probably one of the best brisket sandwiches I've had in the area. It was melt in your mouth delicious. From the bark to the flavor it was a master class in barbecue.
The potato salad as a side was excellent. I had to stop myself from eating the whole container.
The sad thing is they only do barbecue on Saturdays. But I will definitely be back to try their other sandwiches they offer during the week.

Just walking into the restaurant the smell of engulfs you and you immediately start salivating. It was hard to make up my mind on what I wanted because everything sounded delicious. The employees are very informative and helpful you can tell they enjoy their job. The Mac and cheese was so creamy and delicious it's the best Mac and cheese in the capital region. The sandwiches were so good especially the warm turkey. The turkey is so tender and juicy mixed with the cranberry relish. Saturday is BBQ day and I'm sure you won't be disappointed. Everything at this restaurant is chefs kiss and I will be a regular customer for sure.

Just went today for the first time. It was fantastic. The meat was juicy and hot, and the mac and cheese was phenomenal! My spouse and I each ordered a sandwich (cubano and ham and cheese) and split some wings and mac and cheese. the sandwhichs were fantastic, super flavorfulhothe wings were smoked and really thick, with great garlic parmesian flavor! The staff was incredibly friendly, and it's a nice, clean, and well decorated interior. Having just moved from the south, this place reminds us of good southern comfort food with bold flavors. We will definitely be coming back! This is our go-to sandwich place.

My friend and I originally planned on dining out at Memphis King but they were closed due to a catering arrangement. So we ended up at Meat & Company. I bought the brisket sandwich and a soda. The dining experience was amazing. Definitely top notch food on par with Memphis. The only downside was the price. It was twice as much as I would have paid at Memphis. If you love good BBQ, you will love this place. I will definitely come back since the food was that good, but it may be more of a luxury purchase once every few months instead of a weekly thing. 5 stars.

Didn’t know much about this place other than smelling the unreal aromas from outside when at the plaza. Finally ordered takeout and was blown away, such a great under the radar spot and absolutely delicious. The ribs are not as tender as some others’ I’ve had locally, but the favor is definitely one of the better I’ve tasted in NY. The potato salad is to die for, and I would dare to say the smoked chicken wings might be top 3 wings I’ve had in this entire area, no question. Cannot wait to try other stuff here, always steadily busy and worth every bite

We were so excited to check out Meat and Company. We ordered to sandwiches and two side dishes. The restaurant’s decor is warm and welcoming as is the friendly staff. We were greeted as soon as we stepped in the door. Everything we ordered was delicious and prepared with care. My husband got the Cubano and Kimchi coleslaw and I ordered the steak and cheese with Mac and cheese. Both sandwiches were served with their house made potato chips. Definitely is going to be a regular place for us to get sandwiches and I can’t wait to return when their full menu is available.

Stopped by for a late lunch today and we were very impressed. We had a sliced brisket sandwich, half rack of ribs, mac & cheese, potato salad, pit beans, cornbread, several extra sauces and we left with enough food for another meal. That's unusual for us. It was all good, but the standouts were the ribs, the beans and the m&c. The beans had brisket burnt ends chopped in them and they were outstanding. I'd be here once a week if I lived around here. All that was missing was a cold IPA. It's family-owned. It's really good. Support your local BBQ joint.

I have had Meats and Company before being catered. It was great. But tonight we stopped by for take out. Let me just say as someone from the south that grew up on good food, this place does not disappoint. Ordered the brisket, Warm Turkey sandwich (or club), Mac and cheese, cornbread and garlic parm wings. All of it was 5/5. My favorite was the garlic parm wings, I might even say they were the best I’ve had in the capital region. Staff was amazing and friendly. Ben, the owner was there with the team and beyond helpful and friendly. We will be back. You must try.

Let me begin by saying I grew up in the Deep South and was spoiled with arguably the best BBQ in the country. I know good BBQ, I have stupid high expectations. Bottom line, give this place a try, was absolutely blown away. The parm wings, brisket, the sauce, etc is first class. This guy could open up down south and compete with the best and still do well if that says anything. So glad I finally found amazing BBQ after being away from the south for all these years, was steadily disappointed with nearly all the places I’ve tried. Thank you Meat & Comp!! See ya next week, John

Easily the best BBQ in the 518 that I’ve had.
I ordered a BBQ brisket sandwich with chips and kimchi cole slaw.
The brisket was tasty and flavorful on its own without needing the sauce, but with sauce was incredible. It was juicy and very tender. The pickled onions were a good addition, however the sandwich needs a lot more.
By far the best part of this meal was the kimchi cole slaw, it was the right amount of spice and overall flavor! I wish I had the recipe.
A nice added bonus was the atmosphere was nice and the employees were even nicer. Thanks! Will definitely return.

I worked with Ben to help cater our annual holiday party at the School of Nursing. Our theme was a Jingle Bell BBQ! We knew that we wanted really tasty and good quality BBQ, and I had heard great things about Meat and Company. I decided to reach out and the entire experience from customer service, kindness, helpfulness and quality were all immaculate! I would highly recommend Ben and Meat and Company if you are looking for a clean establishment, high-quality and tasty food, kind staff and an overall seamless process. Thank you again Ben and staff for making our Holiday Party 2024 a great one!

I was just going through niskayuna and needed some place to drop by to eat and this place looked pretty good. Oh my goodness! Pretty good is an understatement. The interior has a nice cozy vibe to it. The food out of this world, I got Memphis pulled pork. The pork was juicy and tender, plus I'm not a fan of slaw but the slaw that they put on top hit all the right flavor profiles for that to be a 10 out of 10 sandwich and I don't say that lightly. If you enjoy barbecue and you live near niskayuna this is your spot.

I’ll be the first to admit — I’m not usually a fan of smoked food, and barbecue is rarely my go-to. But last week, my son asked for their mac & cheese, so I stopped in. While I was there, I decided to grab a turkey sandwich for myself.
Wow. Just… wow.
This was, without question, one of the best sandwiches I’ve ever had. The smoke was subtle—just enough to add depth without overpowering. The turkey was juicy and flavorful, the bread was fresh, and the condiments tied everything together perfectly. Every bite was a balance of savory, smoky, and fresh.
The young woman at the counter was warm, friendly, and genuinely welcoming, which made the visit even better. And yes—I had a bite of my son’s mac & cheese… and let’s just say I completely understand why he asked for it. Creamy, cheesy perfection.
Even if barbecue isn’t your thing, this place is worth the trip. Fresh, flavorful, juicy, and absolutely delicious. I’ll be back again and again to support this small business. If you’re anywhere near Niskayuna, make this a must-stop.
